Originally premiering on Viacom's Showtime television network, LAFFAPALOOZA! was the world's, premiere, longest running and most irreverent urban comedy festival, and was originally positioned to widen industry opportunities for up-and-coming minority comedians and to financially support humor-based learning initiatives for at-risk youth. In today's increasingly multicultural marketplace, the brand has decided to relaunch with a focus a new digital iteration that will take the brand to audiences around the world. Some of biggest names in comedy have graced LAFFAPALOOZA!'s stages - and we've discovered some of the brightest new names in comedy.

LAFFAPALOOZA! was an annual signature series event that originally launched in 1998 and took place over four days - with 40 comedy shows across various locations. LAFFAPALOOZA! aired across three major television networks (Showtime, Comedy Central and TBS) and was staged in Atlanta, GA and LasVegas, NV. At its height, the event attracted more than 250,000 attendees annually and had a television viewership of more than 84 million people.
